The Custom Jewelry Process

I love working one on one with clients to create the perfect piece for them or a loved one. The process doesn’t have to be overwhelming! Keep scrolling to read about the step-by-step process, as well as see past designs.

Step One

Via my email, rf@rosaliefaith.com, or through the custom inquiry page here, provide a description of what you have in mind. If possible, this should include the type of stone you would like, your time frame, and your budget. If you have inspiration images, send those along as well! This should be a fun process, and I’m happy to talk about anything you think I should know regarding who the ring is for (including yourself!).

Step Two

If we decide to work together to create your custom piece, I will provide a few sketches based off of the information you’ve given me. Depending on the type of piece we’re creating, the design may include a 3D render. At this point I will also begin to source stones for you to choose from, but if you don’t live near me, don’t worry! I will happily email/text pictures and videos for you to view. For diamond rings, I typically have between 3-5 stones for you to choose from of various price points.

Step Three

Once we’ve decided on a design, it’s time to fabricate your jewelry! Sometimes I will fabricate the piece myself in my studio, while other pieces require me to work with a studio in NYC to bring your piece to life. I’m happy to discuss the varying types of fabrication and what the best option is for your piece.

Please Note

On average, the custom process takes around 6-8 weeks. It can sometimes be done more quickly, but that may entail a rush fee.

I will use family gems on a case by case basis.
